於國防醫學院與台灣安寧照顧 協會舉行第五屆第二次會員大 會暨學術研討會，並舉行甄審 通過之專科醫師頒證儀式。
Cohosted with the Taiwan Hospice Organization the annual Joint Hospice Palliative Care Conference in National Defense Medical Center, and awarded the certificate of specialty to newly qualified physicians.

The National Health Insurance Bureau announced adding eight categories of non-cancer terminally illness eligible for palliative care to be reimbursed by National Health Insurance.
TAHPM was awarded by the Ministry of the Interior as a National Outstanding Civil Organization in 2008.

中央健康保險局公告，除試辦 計畫(住院及居家)正式納入 健保常態性支付外，新增八類 非癌症重症末期病人符合安寧 療護收案範圍，納入正式健保 支付標準。
本學會獲內政部評定為九十七 年度全國性社會及職業團體工 作評鑑之優等團體。
參與醫策會辦理「末期照護教 學共識會議」。
TAHPM participated in “the Consensus meeting for teaching in care of terminal illness” held by the Joint Commission of Taiwan.
本學會第六屆理監事會成立，邱泰源醫師榮任理事長。
The sixth TAHPM Board of Directors was established, and Dr. Tai-Yuan Chiu was elected as the President.
