Committee's Tasks
Credential Committee
The Taiwan Academy of Hospice Palliative Medicine established the ad hoc Credential Committee for palliative medicine specialists to manage matters pertaining to the evaluation of palliative medicine specialists,
Responsibilities include:
1. Plan and develop palliative medicine workforce.
2. Conduct specialist selection and evaluation.
3. Develop specialist qualifications.
4. Conduct certification for palliative specialist training hospitals.
5. Other relevant tasks.
 
 
Education &Training Committee
The TAHPM established the Education and Training Committee for the overall management of palliative related education and training.
Responsibilities include:
1. Plan, organize, and evaluate palliative medicine related education and training.
2. Promote activities related to palliative medicine education.
3. Assist with the promotion of palliative medicine education.
4. Promote continuing education in palliative medicine and conduct relevant certification.
5. Design and revise training courses for specialists.
 
 
Academic & Research Committee
The TAHPM manages activities pertaining to academic lectures and seminars, and established the Academic & Research Committee to promote academic research in palliative medicine.
Responsibilities include:
1. Overall management of academic and research.
2. Plan annual conference and symposiums.
3. Conduct commissioned research projects.
4. Publish TAHPM academic publications and journals.
5. Provide scholarship recommendations to the board of directors.
 
 
Information Technology Committee
In response to advancing medical informatics, the Information Technology In response to advancing medical informatics, the Information Technology Committee is established, to enhance member connection and services, promote digital learning and develop distance education for palliative medicine.
Responsibilities include:
1. Overall management of matters pertaining to TAHPM website planning and online member services.
2. Construct palliative medicine database and implement relevant regulations.
3. Develop distance education for palliative medicine.
4. Other matters pertaining to the development of palliative medicine information.
 
 
Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee is established to promote the professional development of palliative medicine.
Responsibilities include:
1. Promote the development of palliative medicine, and assist in the development of other hospice-related professions.
2. Plan domestic and overseas academic exchanges among palliative medicine groups.
3. Confer and promote relevant regulations and policies.
 
 
Finance & Public Relationship committee
The Finance and Public relationship Committee is established to manage TAHPM financial affairs and promote public relations.
Responsibilities include:
1. Develop new financial resources.
2. Formulate standards for fees, income and expenses.
3. Confer and promote exchanges among domestic and foreign palliative agencies.
4. Actively promote palliative medicine concepts, and organize relevant events.
5. Other TAHPM financial matters.
 
 
Ethics Committee
The TAHPM Ethnic Committee is established to develop relevant ethical standards for palliative medicine, review related research, and ensure compliance with health care laws. Responsibilities include:
1. Confer on policies and regulations pertaining to palliative care and ethics.
2. Ethical management of research, regulations and recommendations pertaining to palliative clinical practice, academic research and education.
3. Study regulations pertaining to the rights and interest of interviewees and their family.
4. Accept individual and institutional request for assistance in ethical review of palliative medicine research and their outcomes.
